The sooner the better. Also, having periodic and regular swim lessons throughout the year is always a good approach toward level progression, endurance, and well-known health benefits of swimming.
We follow the Lifesaving Society’s swim scale, which is the most popular one in Canada. For detailed differences between these levels, please review our Learning Progression section.
Swim progression depends on each swimmer. Some would be able to achieve one or even two levels in one session, while others will need more time to achieve a certain skill. Our instructors and supervisors will be constantly assessing and adapting their teaching following your child’s level.
In these cases, your child will be getting a half-level. For instance, if the swimmer already achieved level C, but is not ready to get its level D, we will classify it as 1⁄2 D level.
The swim team would be our best recommendation. Please be aware that your child should be at least swimmer level 6.
Please refer to our schedule page for the corresponding session.
Yes, we do offer make-up lessons for our beginner, intermediate, advanced, and Patrol awards lessons. Please be aware that you are eligible for up to 2 make-up lessons per session.
